Please join us at The Bonnier Gallery on Thursday, August 11 at 7pm for an exciting panel discussion with our MFA Showcase Artists, moderated by Amy Galpin, Chief Curator at the Frost Art Museum.

Adhering to the gallery’s dedication to local educational institutions as well as providing a platform for local students to enter the gallery space, the MFA Showcase will remain a staple of the gallery’s programming each summer. This will be the inaugural panel discussion for the occasion.

In her role at the Frost Art Museum FIU, Amy Galpin, PhD., is responsible for curating the institution’s exhibitions, implementing the museum’s plans for its permanent collection, and leveraging her expertise to support the museum’s vision.

Galpin’s curatorial trajectory has primarily focused on modern and contemporary work created in the U.S. and Latin America. She also served as Associate Curator of Art of the Americas at the San Diego Museum of Art, and has curated exhibitions at the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago and the Pasadena Museum of California Art.

Galpin received an MA in Latin American Studies from San Diego State University, and a PhD. in Art History from the University of Illinois-Chicago.
