As the days grow longer and the gallery fills with summer light, we've been reflecting on what has been an incredibly inspiring spring season at Summer & Grace.

From welcoming new artists to hosting designers, collectors, and community leaders and supporting meaningful local causes, the past few months have reminded us that art has the power to bring people together in remarkable ways.

We are excited to share some of the highlights from April, May, and June.

One of the most exciting developments this spring has been the expansion of our artist roster.

We are proud to welcome a remarkable group of female abstract artists whose work brings fresh perspectives, rich textures, and powerful emotional depth to the gallery.

While each artist has a distinct voice, together they reflect many of the design movements discussed during our symposium—warmth, texture, individuality, and meaningful expression

Their collections have already resonated strongly with collectors, designers, and visitors alike, and we look forward to sharing more of their work throughout the year.

In April, we welcomed guests to our Interior Design Symposium, an evening dedicated to exploring the evolving relationship between art and interior design.
Joined by designers Kate Davidson of Kate + Co Design, Alicia Marchioni of Harrison Fae Design, and Ali and Sydney Cohen of Curato, we explored how today's most compelling interiors are being designed around art rather than treating artwork as an afterthought.

Throughout the evening, conversations centred around warm minimalism, personalization, wellness-focused spaces, and the return of colour. One theme resonated above all others: homes are becoming more personal, more meaningful, and more reflective of the people who live in them. Art remains at the centre of that shift.
The evening also served a greater purpose. Proceeds from the symposium supported Acclaim Health's Patty's Place, a state-of-the-art dementia care centre in Oakville dedicated to compassionate and innovative care.

One of the most rewarding aspects of what we do is helping our clients build collections that feel personal, meaningful and uniquely their own.

Over the past few months, our team has been busy creating stunning gallery walls that included newly acquired art from the gallery as well as incorporating the clients own personal pieces.

We have also worked closely with collectors to commission custom works from our artists to bring their own personal inspirations and ideas into one-of-a-kind pieces of art. From sourcing special works and coordinating commission to installation nd final placement, we love bringing our clients’ visions to life.

April also marked the return of Claudia Pettigrew from maternity leave!

Many of our clients and collectors have already had the opportunity to reconnect with Claudia, and we are thrilled to have her back at the gallery. Her passion for art and dedication to helping clients discover meaningful pieces continues to be an invaluable part of the Summer & Grace experience.
